1939 : the Compagnie Fruitière is founded in Marseille to import and trade fruit from Africa

1991 : Office Camerounais de la Banane is purchased when privatized; the group’s operations expanded to include fruit production

1992 : Dole, the world leader in fruit and vegetables, acquires a 40 percent interest in the company

1997 : the Compagnie Fruitière acquires Société de Culture Bananière (SCB), Côte d’Ivoire’s largest banana and pineapple plantation

2001 : the Africa Express Line, an integrated shipping company, is established

2008 : Acquisition of Dole France and JP Fresh Ltd (UK), 2 major operators in the fruit market.

Other important events in the Group’s history include the acquisition of Exofarm (1999) and the founding of the Grands Domaines du Senegal (2001), Golden Exotics Ltd in Ghana (2003), Cœur de Fruit (2006), and the Compagnie Fruitière Distribution Morocco (2007).
