Local populations may receive treatment at a hospital, 18 infirmaries, six maternity units, five clinics and through many pharmacies and ambulances. In an emergency, they may be evacuated to hospitals that are often quite distant. In 2007, more than 200,000 consultations were held and 3,000 babies were born in the company’s facilities.

All company employees receive health insurance for themselves and their families. The company is also active in the fight against AIDS and malaria. It participates extensively in vaccination campaigns.

In Côte d’Ivoire, it is also active in combating onchocerciasis, a disease that leaves hundreds of children blind or invalid.
